Final Days of Fall

Growing up in Ohio, I passed by farms mostly without notice. More recently, I have come to appreciate the art and architecture of these landscapes. This painting is of a barn in Madison County, Virginia, in the late days of fall when trees and plants adopt colors and textures that can only be witnessed in a short window of time before winter takes hold. The painting measures 19Hx25W inches and is oil on canvas, presented in a black frame. The painting has been varnished to protect the finish.
